You get what you pay for
The 'metal' on the ends is wearing out. No cable will work for 90 days or less. There are no problems with shorts in cables, the metal on the connectors themselves wears out and loses connection. I think they're good for a cheap emergency backup, but these cables don't last, it can take 6-8 weeks before they recharge. I really wish someone had made a charging cable that actually lasted. If you find one please let me know. Still on the hunt.
