I'm not only looking for items, I'm also looking for my products with a barcode scanner. The one I used is a line laser that reads the barcode and has to go through it. So for lack of language I say it reads "linear". This one from Realinn looks like a crosshair with a dot in the middle and can gather more information faster. It seems clearer to read and quicker to grasp. Connected to my PC or my Mac, both responded immediately and could use it immediately. The key that came with it doesn't seem to respond on my Mac. The cord is long enough where it's not a problem, but without the cord it's perfect. I haven't played with features because I need them for less than just cataloging, organizing, and entering codes into the delivery queue. So overall I really like this scanner. Much better than expected. It's very easy. In fact, it's so light that I'm worried about its durability. I hope that over time it will withstand some handling and not become very brittle.
