My computer is on test bench so I needed a strong cooling fan for my GPU but I was worried about the noise. My first fan was too slow (1200 rpm), the second (3000 rpm) was too loud. The sound of its 3000 rpm engine is high pitched and shrill. The Scythe Kaze Flex 120 mm fan makes a barely perceptible sound of rushing air at 2000 rpm - no motor noise. Considering how much air it's pushing through my Nvidia Xp, you'd think it would be very noisy, but it's not. It also has anti-vibration pads in all eight corners.
