The handle makes this "sponge/bristle" comfortable to use and it cleans fairly well. However, Le Creuset enamel will stain cast iron cookware. Grilling or roasting meat or vegetables will burn the surface of the enamel leaving the "shadow" no matter how much you clean or what tool is used to clean. The stain "shadow" remains. This is a regular scraper/cleaner. It may not be worth your price as a less expensive sponge/scraper will give the same result; That is, a clean surface with the shadow stain remaining. In general, this is not what one can expect from the Le Creuset brand.
