The oil plug on my F-150 points directly at the stabilizer arm of my suspension. So wrap it over the suspension and let the oil flow, right? Well, the jet hit the funnel, it tilted and moved, and then most of the oil flow went into the sump, while the rest climbed over the suspension and fell to the ground behind the drip pan. Big mess. I swear Ford only designed this plug for use over a pit full of cat litter. My first two F-150s had the drain plug at the very bottom of the oil pan and the filter was right next to it. Now it's under the cover on the back. Except for the oil filter. It's front rear inside front, on the bottom of the engine, just above the frame brace. You can't see it, you have to touch it to make sure it's clean, and you have to blindly insert the new filter. WTF Ford. Quit bothering with the location of repair parts and try to figure out HOW to put a spark plug in the cylinder head at least once every hundred years!
