I've had several similar screwdriver sets over the years. Inevitably, the skin falls apart, the loop fails, and eventually the bits disappear one by one. It's time for another set and this one looked like it would fill the bill. I've done it before. First of all, I would like to point out the case design. It uses magnets to hold the top, one in each corner. They're strong enough, enough that you *could* pick the whole thing up by the lid, but no more. It's more than enough that when it's upside down, it shouldn't just vomit up its contents. The inserted foam covers a good portion of the bits, just enough so they don't come out on their own. It's tight enough to grab the bits, making them difficult to get out. Until you find that you can just tilt the one you want a little and deform the foam, and then it will rise slightly. When you're done, the foam will come back and be able to grab the drill again. I'm not sure how long this will take, but it seems like as good an idea as anything I've seen before. The bits vary widely, including several uniquely coded bits for most electronics you will find on the market. They have two pairs for each size Philips bits and one flat head bit which is great because we know they are always the first to run away and get lost with frequent use. There is a soft handle for angled use and large tweezers (under the handle). There's also the driver grip itself and of course the 'magnetizer' which is a bunch of neodymium magnets in a plastic case big enough to hold some tips. The handle is quite interesting in that there is an extension cord inside. which can almost double the length of the driver. Simply press the bottom sleeve and pull the bar out. The shank is the same hexagonal shape as the bits, meaning it can be used for direct driving when a magnetic tip is not needed. The extension rod has a magnet at the base to hold the bit and the bottom uses a ball and spring detent. Snap the ball grip onto the bit, not just the shank. That would be the only improvement I could see. To be fair, it's fine the way it is, but that would only be a little more. (Apologies for the pun.) I look forward to regular use and having a full tool set on hand again. I'm hoping that this body will hold up better over time due to the lack of a strap and I won't get out of step anytime soon. Although it's great for the price. Take it while you can!
