Review on 💿 Hornettek HT-3402U3: Enterprise USB 3.0 JBOD SATA HDD Enclosure 4 Bays by Jeffrey Kue

I bought one of these a few years ago but wasn't aware that this terrible Hornettek product was available at Revain. , the SATA backplane fails resulting in the drives being unreadable or even visible as they are not connected/powered on. It also randomly drops connections to systems, as evidenced by other reviews here as well. I've never had speed issues, but that doesn't matter because based on what I mentioned, you won't be transferring any data at all. Literally the only part of it that I kept after throwing it away due to the return date is the power supply, making it a very expensive 12v 6amp power supply. Good luck contacting the company as they do not endorse their products. I have also bought a few other bays from this company and they have either failed or have weird bugs/defects like the 2 drive bay I have has the drives in the bay CLOSED and when you take them out of the discs they will don't do it read something else; basically if at some point I don't share the data and the corpus decides to stop working, all the data is gone. I don't know of any company or enclosure that does this crap where they do it when drives can only be read with their enclosure until reformatted on another system - this isn't an encryption feature either as their products can't brag about it . Avoid anything this company does at all costs; Spend a little more money and get something from a reputable company that actually offers warranty support or whatever is available.
