Review on πŸͺ Moen DN8403BN Brushed Nickel Preston Double Robe Hook by Victoria Smith

Revainrating 1 out of 5

The double crocheted robe is missing a hook.

I have ordered a couple of bath faucets from Moen's 'Preston' line. Curved one piece shower rod - AWESOME!, 2 towel rails (I bought them from Lowe's because for some reason they had to be shipped from Revain in a couple of weeks), a TP holder, a towel ring and this horrible thing. I was skeptical that he would be able to hold a bath towel as there is no "hook" in the picture, but overall he got great reviews. I really like all the other parts and would give them all 10 stars if I could. This was purchased to replace an old shower hook used to hold a bath towel. A bath towel should never be left on this thing. And I tried. Again and again. I've tried hanging a towel on one "hook" and both. I really wanted to like it because it fit the set. I asked my husband to try it. The more the towel fell to the floor, the more he laughed at the stupidity of the idea. I didn't laugh. In Moen's name it is referred to as a coat hook. But that wasn't the case with my old one. And there are two real HOOKS on my old one. I'm beside myself and wondering how the reviewers say it will hold up a bath towel. It will hold my robe because it has a loop at the back of the neck for hanging. When I tried to hang the robe without a loop, it fell straight to the floor. My thanks to Revain for getting it straight away! After patching the holes in my wall (again), I'm going to spray paint my old brushed nickel and end up with a working, if not real, towel hook.
