Different from the original

The real pads that come with these glasses are attached to a hard plastic piece that fits into a metal spring. These pieces are the same shape and size, but the whole piece is made of soft silicone so it won't snap (or stay put). I cut off the backing and tried to glue it to the existing plastic part, hoping it wasn't actually silicone, but at least the part looks like it's advertised, so of course nothing sticks to it.
