Review on Bosch Parts 2610938414 Adapter Plate by Antonio Cummings

Great product, very durable, I don't see any sagging problems. While I haven't used or even assembled the rest of my router table, I'm very glad I've used it in place of the router lift for hundreds of others. I bought a 1617 router to mate with this board and it bolts down with the hardware that comes with it, although reviews say it won't fit without drilling. Finding the right row of holes is just difficult, but with persistence and guidance you will eventually find the correct hole order. The only change I will make is the 3 screws holding the plate and router together. 2, if they protrude far enough from the router to add an extra locknut, I'll definitely do that for extra care, but probably not necessary. Overall I'm very happy I've already decided on a router lift but tried to find a cheaper alternative and that's it and with the right router like the 1617 series I can fine tune from the top and they even include one T-knob for it and I can even change router bits from the top and as both this insert and router are 1617 Bosch and Bosch has taken good care of these gross adjustments (larger adjustments) are easy to make under the table as the insert and the router fit together, the clamping mechanism is at the very front for easy access, and the micro adjustment is at the top front of the table and dead center. I'm not sure how well other routers connect to this plate, but with this plate and a 1617 series router there really is no logical reason to spend hundreds more lifting.
