We have this pan for our stupid glass stove. I say stupid because we hate the stove - it seems like it takes forever to boil a cup of water! Anyway - we did this on purpose because people commented that it's a flat bottom (which makes for better heat with a glass lid). And that's true, but there's a very slight bend that causes the center of the pan to protrude slightly above the glass surface. I don't think it necessarily matters much, except when we're boiling eggs - they tend to roll towards the edges as well. Otherwise it is a well built instrument.
