Review on DJI OSMO Pocket Part Expansion by Dragan Nelson

I really want to love Osmo Pocket. I have a feeling that all of its shortcomings can be fixed with the right accessories (or a heck of a firmware update). Unfortunately, this kit has a lot of problems. . .GoPro Style Mount: Who Designed It? Corner adapters must be used so that the screen on the stand faces you. Why? Am I missing something? The mount also blocks the phone jack, meaning the OSMO needs to be removed from the mount and a phone adapter plugged in if I want to view footage or fine-tune with my phone. That's a lot of little parts to mess around with for what should be a simple operation. It's also bloody expensive when bought separately. It's styled mount that attaches to the bottom of the Osmo (slightly offset to clear the charging port) solves this problem and provides a mounting point that doesn't require angled adapters. Wifi Adapter: Doesn't work on any Android phone I've tried. Pixel 2, Pixel 3, S8, S9: No, no, no, no. Seems to work with IOS, but even then there are connection issues. Why doesn't this wireless adapter fit in the phone jack? If you have both a phone adapter and a wireless adapter connected at the same time, you will get a message asking you to disable it. It seems that a little bit of bad design has led to more and more bad design. Thumbwheel: The only thing that works. But still poorly thought out. Where are the gimbal speed and smoothness settings? I know this is a firmware issue, but oh well. The thumbwheel occupies a phone adapter slot, so there's no other way to connect a phone other than wireless. But if I need extra thumbwheel control and have the Osmo in hand, isn't that the best time to use my phone as a monitor? Do I really need to wirelessly connect two things I'm holding in my hands?
