I've had the same brush for over 15 years. To be honest, I never wash it off and leave it wet in a bowl of shaving cream with damp soap. It looks and feels the same as the day I bought it. Soft but not too soft. Holds shaving cream well. Need another one so I can leave one in our RV. I expect to get (at least) a good 15 years out of it.
