Although these socks are classified as "Girls" don't let that fool you. Large size (3 GOLD toe straps) fits women's sizes up to 10 feet. I wear American women's sizes 8/8.5 and they fit me perfectly. To be honest, size 4 - 10 seems too big for them. Size 4 is still youth (large for kids) in general, although I believe women's sizes technically range from 4 to 12. If a size 4, 5 or even 6 person tried these socks they would be WAY big/leg length. These socks are not like regular athletic socks. You're pretty thin. That's probably why they are called "liners". They work well with tighter shoes and the like, but I don't need them when I'm walking/jogging. My feet are all sweaty and my foot wants to move too much in my shoes when I'm wearing them. My teenage daughter likes them better than me but she prefers thinner socks. Overall they seem decent if you like thinner socks. It's really about preference and being skinny before ordering.
