Tested for "Smash for Wii U "

Works. Very nice packaging. You would expect a "fake" to have very cheap packaging, but the packaging is NOT just a regular plastic and styrofoam box. Includes controller, micro USB to USB 2.0 cable and instructions. Micro USB charging cable interface is suitable for most households. There will already be a micro USB cable. If you already have a micro USB cable on your desk or near your gaming rig, you'll never have to pull out a new cable to charge this controller. this. This controller can use the same charging cable as the Xbox One and/or PS4 controller. The controller has the look of a GameCube controller with the shoulder triggers of a Nintendo Pro controller. This controller does NOT look like a GameCube or Pro Controller. It's a completely different feel, and whether you're switching from a GameCube or Pro Controller, you'll have to adapt. -BIDO. If you're not sure what Bidou is, google it. This controller shares the same shoulder buttons as the Wii u Pro controller, meaning you can take full advantage of Bidou technology by mapping L to Special, and zL can do the standard GameCube controller's standard "L" button mapping click keep. The shoulder buttons on the pro controller are not pressed, and on the gamecube controller only the "Z" button is pressed. The clicking shoulder buttons allow you to make very consistent short jumps with the shoulder button without much practice. - This wireless controller has no noticeable input lag compared to a standard GameCube controller. - The A/B/X/Y buttons are slightly closer together and also tilted at a different angle than the GameCube controller. It's not enough to ask the player to adjust, but you'll feel the difference early on. - The analog stick on the Hyperkin is not as tight as the GC controller. Less resistance. You need to rewire your muscle memory for movement technique. Perfect curves and long cuts feel lighter. The deadzone on the analog stick in the Hyperkin is larger than the deadzone on the analog stick in the GC controller. The dead zone is the space created by the distance the joystick has to travel in any direction before the input works. This means you'll experience a slight lag when doing Spotdodge, Crouch, Shield Drop, Down Slam/Tilt/Aerial/Special Strike, Quick Drop, and anything else that requires you to press down. This is where your muscle memory needs to recalibrate. - DPad on Hyperkin controller is slightly higher than DPAD on GC controller. - All face buttons on the Hyperkin have a stronger click compared to the GC controller. - The rumble is stronger. stronger on the right side of the controller than the left. - The Hyperkin grips are much thicker than the GC controller grips. - The Hyperkin controller is lighter than the GC controller, just enough that you can tell the difference while gaming feel.- FINALLY, a 3rd party WIRELESS controller for Wii U designed along the lines of a GC controller that works, doesn't require a Wii Mote to connect to the Wii U and is the same for all other games and features the Wii U can be used. I bought this controller because the GC controller I was using was worn out. GameCube controllers are expensive and hard to find new. For the retail price of a $35 GameCube controller and a $15 Wii U GameCube controller adapter, you can buy three or four of these Hyperkin ProCube controllers, depending on the price. I also wanted to get rid of the clutter on my gaming system, but I hate playing with anything other than a GC controller because of the layout. I hope this controller lasts a long time. If not, I will definitely spend $20 to replace it with another Hyperkin controller. When in doubt, buy.

Pros
  • Compatible with all Wii U models and all Wii U Pro Controller games
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
