Bought these to store yarn for knitting. They are a bit flimsy when assembled but work well when folded. I just don't know how well they work for heavy shoes or someone who has to constantly get in and out of them. I had no construction issues and didn't find them too slippery. everything to store my light yarn collection cheaply and conveniently, they work great. The lack of 1 star is due to: somewhat flimsy construction and the fact that a large thumb hole is cut in. A thumb hole probably makes sense for shoes that need airing, but for my yarn I worry about moths putting cedar bags around things. The holes make it easier to pull out a particular box, but I wish they would let the customer choose whether they wanted a hole there or not.
