Best quality control on gamepads and standard controllers

The blue controller does not register well enough for good performance no matter how hard we try to re-sync it. I can't use it for boxing or tennis. Was very confused about this. A gift for my stepson and I don't have the money to replace it. I'm sure their other products have better quality control. I hope. financial sadness
