We got this monitor because we had an old Motorola monitor that we loved but needed a second camera for our newborn and they don't make that model more here. I really wanted to love this monitor as we had such a great experience with our old one. It has some great features: the picture-in-picture, the color and the overall view of the camera are much nicer, and the night vision is also excellent. However, there are things that just aren't enough. The battery life is terrible. 2 hours without a charger and the battery is already half empty. Sometimes it even loses a battery life when disconnected from the charger! How does this happen? I can only assume that this is a defect. Also, sometimes the parent monitor won't turn on if it's not connected to the charger. Finally, even on the lowest settings, the audio is loud. Not critical, but can be annoying. Overall, we still like this monitor. However, for the price and the brand, it shouldn't have these flaws and quirks.
