Review on ๐Ÿ’ผ Optimized USB Slim Business Keyboard by HP by Michael Starr

Revainrating 2 out of 5

If you're looking for a quiet keyboard, look elsewhere.

I bought this to replace a wireless keyboard also made by HP as the low key profile gives the impression that you don't have to press too far. I mainly use it for gaming, but I also type a lot. When gaming, it's a bit more forgiving of having to press the keys this far, as fingers don't typically go very far from the WASD keys, but when typing, this is the first keyboard I've ever used. actually my hands hurt. I've never had issues with carpal tunnel syndrome, which is one of the reasons I keep buying low profile keyboards, but somehow this keyboard has the same issues as high profile keyboards, even though they're just like low profile keyboards LOOKS. profile keyboard. I keep skipping keys because I didn't use enough force to press the key. It's also a lot louder than I thought. Colleagues often have to ask me to mute my microphone during a conference call because the buttons are too loud. Even when typing slowly, in order not to be as loud, they are still twice as loud as other low-profile keyboards. That being said, it's still not as loud as a mechanical keyboard, which is probably the only reason I haven't replaced it yet. You might think it's good, you might not, but this keyboard feels so solid it won't die anytime soon. I feel like I'm taking care of my Depression-era grandmother, who has dementia and sings Polish songs out loud in the middle of parties while I wait for her to shed her mortal coil, but she's so resilient that she just won didn't go. I've spent the money at this point so I'm not going to choke it to death and replace it, but it takes a toll on my hands and wits.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • No mold required
