Review on π DIY Programming: 1998-2000 Ford Explorer Un-Cut Transponder Ignition Key by Matthew Wheeler
Decent anti-theft key
Tried or two (programming) but ended up working on my 2001 Ford Crown Victoria. I had the key cut in Ace and it's a bit tight when opening the car but a decent spare key. You will also need two working keys to program this one.
