I bought this to use on a Surface Pro so I can keep the USB port available on the tablet while having the right mouse. It works well. if it works. I tried this on two different tablets and both had the same problem: after a period of inactivity, the mouse stopped working. Device Manager still shows it's connected, but the cursor doesn't move. Turning the device off and on again does not restore functionality. The only way to restore functionality is to restart the tablet. Spend another dollar and get a TENMOS wireless mouse. . It works perfectly, it is possible to connect via BlueTooth and a USB receiver. It works great on both tablets that the Microsoft mouse doesn't, and feels a lot more accurate and reliable. You would think that a MICROSOFT mouse would work seamlessly with a MICROSOFT Surface Pro, right?
