First of all I am very grateful to the people who answered my question about this product. This product comes with a printhead and 4 inks - 3 colors and black. The instructions recommend replacing the ink with this ink for best results. The journey is very short, which is good if you don't have any problems. I just installed the printhead and ink. Then my printer went into "printer alignment" stuck mode. I couldn't "X" or cancel it because it said you can't cancel maintenance - that's about 4 hours since I left it to do its thing. So I opened the ink door and made sure the print head was secure and it kept giving the same message and doing nothing. The power off button also didn't work or turned itself off. So I unplugged the power cord from the back of the printer, waited about a minute, and plugged it back in. Viola! Then everything worked. It lined up, printed out the alignment paper to throw away and now it's working great! I'm very happy about this because I didn't want to buy another printer - I really like this HP8600 printer. The cost of replacing the printhead seems too high. However, given that it comes with 4 inks, I found it adequate. I guess it depends if you just want to spend money on a new printer or not. The Boracell seller packed the item well, it's brand new and works great.
