For the most part, the touch controls work well. They don't explain very well what some of the features do, but it's not that difficult to understand either. It's smaller than any 36-inch cooktop I've seen. While it technically fits, it'll only be worn off the edge if you're replacing one you already have. In my case, the left and right sides fitted perfectly, but there was almost a 2" gap between the front and back, and my old 36" hob's hole actually left a gap along the front-to-back edge and one Filler plate had to be made into a stove carrier.
