I agree, not helpful when iron is bound to another element.

Most likely the iron in your well water is bound to another element or molecule and these streaks only appear as free iron. So it's a waste of money trying to verify that your iron filter that water from the well is flowing through is working properly.

Pros

Flip-top desiccant keeps strips fresh.
