Review on πŸ”’ Enhanced Security and Convenience: Compustar CS7900-AS All-in-One 2-Way Remote Start and Alarm Bundle with 3000 feet Range by Michael Bustamante

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for a 2006 Dodge Charger RT with unresponsive key fob buttons.

I bought these and waited almost a month for delivery even though they were 'in stock'. I won't complain because in the end the installation was very easy. For someone (me) with no prior knowledge of remote starters and alarm systems, this was clear enough. It took a lot of research, but it was time well spent. In particular, I used the Blade AL transponder, which saves a lot of wiring if you use the CM-900as (Remote Starter) module. You need to go to Idatalink.com and find your specific car year and model and get the chart. While you're there, flash your Blade AL for your specific vehicle, year, model and possibly update your module if possible. You will also need the starter wiring diagram for your specific car model. If you're lucky, the wires you need to connect will show up on the Blade AL schematic that you download from the idatalink website. A NOTICE. You need an ADS USB cable to flash and update the module. I'll show you which wires go where. Follow these instructions. A 1n4001 diode may need to be soldered (1n4007 is fine). Note the ground and the two 12V wires going from the module to the battery. Read the diagram carefully, the additional power supply of your module can damage your car's electronics. Let common sense guide you. I've read everywhere that I need to use a relay configured to lock and unlock the doors with the key fob that came with the module. It seems that the lock and unlock functions on my 2006 charger use the same wire BUT if you connect the module exactly as shown in the diagram you don't need to set up this relay. Blade AL will take care of it. Don't ask me how, but it happened with my 06 charger, I didn't connect anything other than the remote start cables, and the Blade AL even bypassed my existing stock alarm. Overall I think this is a great remote starter for the money. Many more functions can be added. I just wanted to lock and unlock without using my key to arm the car alarm, so I'm very happy with that. I'll see if I can add other features like lowering and raising windows with the remote control. If you look at the picture, that's all the information I need to get it working on my 2006 Dodge charger. I just added 2 wires with 12v fuses (red and red/white) and ground (black wire). Good luck folks. If I can do it, so can you. The third picture (top diagram) shows the relay which I should have used to lock and unlock the doors but as I said I don't need it. If your 2006 charger doesn't have a factory alarm system, or even if it does, it doesn't guarantee you won't have to use it.
