I was very happy to purchase this heat press because of the good reviews on the clamshell but I wanted something with one smaller folding-style plate and bench presses. I think the press would get five stars from me if I didn't have the same problem of the transfer coming off the same spot every time. I printed 6 t-shirts with the same thermal transfer design and every time the transfer came from the same spot I figured the heat at that spot wasn't hot enough so I reprinted using parchment paper to fix the problem . I applied a little pressure each time I squeezed, hoping it would fix the problem, but it didn't help. I preheated the shirts and squeezed the heat transfer fluid as recommended by the heat transfer company, but I still had the same problem with it peeling off in the same spot. I don't have a temp gun, but I'm pretty sure the problem is the lack of heat in the particular area where my translation might fall off, otherwise it was perfect. Unfortunately I have to return the press due to this issue. I could try a crib instead.
