Never thought it would work, but IT WORKS! The DVD player in my 2006 Honda Odyssey suddenly stopped recognizing the disc - in the middle of a movie! I tried restarting it multiple times, tried other drives and nothing worked. After a few seconds, the discs just ejected. I have not received any warnings that there is anything wrong with the player and it has never given me any problems before. Normally there was a disc in the player, but we only use it when we travel. I tried Maxell DVD Cleaner because it had good ratings and reviews and was the cheapest first step to fix the problem. Luckily I read the commentary on the DVD about the mini brushes and how they should be there. When my son first saw them he was about to correct the "mistake" and I knew enough to stop him. DO NOT tear off the mini brushes - they clean the player! I put it in the player and after a few seconds it just ejects - like movie discs. I tried again and this time it took longer to get the error message and I had to extract it manually. The third time was very nice because the menu popped up, I ran it through 3 times just to be sure. Then I put in the same drive that failed in the middle of the movie and it worked great. I used it on my portable DVD player and it works great again. The best investment in DVD player care and nutrition. I was very happy with it and it saved me several hundred dollars on a new car dvd player! Thanks Max!
