I am very happy with these blinds. I ordered Felton White in 4 shades for my living room. I like their clean and simple look. White is beautiful, bright and lets in a lot of light. They also offer privacy. I tested them at night with the interior lights on and you can't see through them, maybe a little dimmed, but they are very opaque. The raising and lowering mechanism is smooth and simple. A quick click and they slide up by themselves. And it's not a quick, crazy jump to the top. Get up nice and easy! Lowering is the same, just pull a little and lower. Snaps right into place and seems to line up perfectly with my window sill every time. Installation was very easy. There are two metal brackets with two screws each. The far ends have two screw holes and a wider open slot between the holes that allows you to easily adjust where the screws fit. I'm glad it did because I needed the screws closer together to fit my narrower sill. The umbrella then clicks into place and feels very secure. We raise and lower the curtains twice a day and so far they seem strong. Let's see how it holds up in a few years! In addition, the plastic handle and wooden mug are detachable options. I took mine off and I like it better. This is a more modern look. Overall these are good shades for the price and I recommend them!
