I don't sew clothes (although I do), but I change clothes often, I want them to fit differently. I do a lot of repairs, trims etc. It's a great little car and I'm replacing my younger Singer. I replaced a Brother machine that never had the right tension ANYWHERE with a Singer that I had high hopes for. The Singer lasted about a year with light to moderate use. Well, no matter what, the coil is tied. I decided to try one of these lesser known machines and see how it works. I definitely prefer a coil that lays flat and parallel to the table. My last machine had a spool that went into a housing that ran perpendicular to the table. I'm pretty sure that was one of the problems. The tension on this machine works great. The coil works great. He has a slight learning curve. The pedal is a little light, but I can try adding some weight to the base. It has 12 stitches (I'd be happy with six) and haven't had any issues with it since I received it. I picked up some really baggy jogging pants that needed to be narrowed. Well sewn, no threads, no threads. It's very easy to use. Highly recommended. If I sewed a lot I would probably buy an expensive cool machine, but I don't sew enough to justify it. However, I really like this car and am not afraid to carry it around like I did with my Singer. I hated it because the spool would knot no matter what, even after just one stitch. Since this does not happen now, sewing is a pleasure. I recommend. even after just one stitch. Since this does not happen now, sewing is a pleasure. I recommend. even after just one stitch.
