I bought this blender to replace my Ninja blender which I really liked but have had to replace about 4 of them in 4 months as they have been deteriorating plastic lately Quality for the cans continued to use stress cracking. This PakOne mixer took a while to get used to as it is very loud and it takes a while before you actually see it mixing stars. Once it starts to work, it blends well. However, when I made my morning smoothie this morning, it stopped after just a few seconds. Then I noticed the smell of smoke and also saw smoke coming out from under the base. I immediately unplugged it to let it cool down. Thank God I was right there. I applied for the Asurion Protection Plan which I previously purchased from Revain. It costs $6.99. I don't know if I will buy this particular brand again.
