Nice light fleece material, very soft and warm. My husband is almost 6ft 3 inches and they are long enough for him. In the photos it looks like there is a cuff at the ankle but it's actually just a slightly tapered ankle area so not tight. Well, I think. We've washed them several times, thrown them in the dryer and haven't noticed any shrinkage. And no coils. I highly recommend them.
