I'm not sure if I happened to get a bad lemon, but I have one of the black color options for my new 2018 15" MacBook Pro Retina., and was disappointed to find that the microclips/fasteners on the front and back edges of the top lid don't have a firm grip. In fact, not at all. The lid feels completely loose there. So when I try to remove the lid to open top cover, if you put your thumb on this area, the cover will lift and detach easily, that surprised me, since my friend has the same one for the same mpb model, but in stealth clear, and it has a firm closure on all sides, with the front and back latches matching the edges of the top cover perfectly.You'd think that both color versions from de m the same cast, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Or maybe it's a coincidence. a manufacturing defect that only affects the product I received? The sides are however, and as shown in the images here, the microclips work perfectly and the lid fits snugly and securely edge to edge. And I have to say I love everything else, the quality, the texture of the finish, the silicone pads, the shape of the cutouts for full access to the ports, how thin it is etc. Although for the price I would expect it to be out of all Viewing angles are flawless and guaranteed to be 100% error free.
