I use this to connect my pc to my stereo which is across the room. I've bought a wireless audio transceiver system twice for about $60-$80 to broadcast audio around the room. But I ran into digital distortion issues with them. As much as they say they designed them not to interfere with other wireless signals like cordless phones or WiFi, I've had issues with them. In the end I decided maybe I was trying too hard. Why not just run an audio cable across the room. And then I began to wonder if the losses at such a distance wouldn't be too heavy? So I searched for 12 AWG audio cables. But in the end I came to the conclusion that the losses would be pretty small even with an inexpensive small diameter audio cable. The other thing is that I'm not using a high power signal like speaker power, just a low level audio signal going to my receiver. So I just got this budget cable. That works fine. My distortion problems with the X/R modules are over. The clutter of a single cable running through my room is actually less than those X/R units on my computer and stereo tables. This is a budget cable and probably not strong enough for intensive use such as B. Music concerts. But if you just put it in one place and plan on leaving it there more or less indefinitely, then this shouldn't be a problem. Convenient that this cable has more length options than most audio cables. But its main advantage is that it's a cheap solution when you need a fairly long cable.
