I bought this from Medium for my (new) four year old and it fits perfectly. However, I think that in six months it will be too little. (Her clothes usually correspond to her age in the years leading up to her birthday. I hope this helps you choose the right size!) She looks well tailored although not very heavy. However, it provided a much-needed barrier against the winter winds, and she loved it!
