Great little camera! After finding myself and my $600 camera in a river (with a kayaking tip), I didn't want to go through that again with my new and expensive backup camera, so I looked for an inexpensive alternative that would take pretty good photos. waterproof and durable. . The Coleman Xtreme C5WP is such a camera. I used it in a kayak for the first time today and for the most part it worked great. I say for the most part because no matter what camera you're going to use, even with image stabilization, if you're in a moving subject going through rough waters, not all of your photos will be sharp. I've attached some photos from today's descent down the Verde River. Only downside, but not so negative that it would give anything other than 5 stars, is if after rotating the camera the image in the viewfinder looked overexposed. After a second or two, the correct color appeared. It was a sunny day and who knows if the sun reflecting off the water had anything to do with it but thought I'd just mention it. I recommend this camera to anyone who wants to take photos in situations that are unlikely to be favorable. with an expensive camera.
