Dehydrator works great. However, it has only been used 3 times so far. The gun broke after 6 pounds of flesh. The second and third time I made jerky, flattened the meat by hand (with a rolling pin), sliced it with a pizza cutter, and it was done. I'm looking for the best weapon. I recommend a dehydrator, but not a gun. Like the adjustable temperature and pretty quiet. The top of the lid (motor) doesn't sit flush with the trays, but that doesn't seem to affect drying. I just light a candle to neutralize the strong smell.
