This is the perfect set for a small minimalist kitchen. It has all the right sizes of cookware for the person who just wants the basics. I bought this set because I wanted to gradually rid my kitchen of non-stick cookware. After purchasing this set I parted with everything else. Now all I have is this set, a large SS Kitchenaid pan and a cast iron double oven/pan. That's enough for a family of 5. It took a while to get used to, but with a little practice, you'll learn how to cook without nonstick! The frying pan included in this set differs from the separately purchased frying pan both in size and weight. This one works well for eggs, fish, etc. I found the thicker base of the Kitchenaid works better with meat sauces and curries. You should experiment a little and see what works for you. But for a quick and easy makeover or a basic kitchen, I would definitely recommend this set.
