I just received these headphones yesterday and I love them! I can't call myself an "audiophile". Mainly because I think it's overused and anyone claiming the title without an audio engineering degree, music degree or major studio experience is presumptuous. However, I have good hearing. I don't have six different $100+ headphones to compare. But I've had several pairs of premium mid-range headphones/earbuds. They have a decent soundstage and excellent high, mid and low separation. The bass has clarity without losing power. Overall I would say this is a good option in this price range. Finally, unless you're listening to FLAC or WAV files (or CDs, hehe) on some impressive audio processing hardware, I doubt you'll be able to hear the difference between them and a pair twice the price.
