Review on Fowler 72 234 522 Rotomike Extended Micrometer by Jerome Pritchard

I ordered this tool to replace a worn one in our public transport shop. The product matched the description. However, there was no decent carrying case. It was cheap plastic and was broken when it arrived. Now I need to find a better way to store the tool when not in use. It's not something you want to casually roll around in your tool box or shopping cart. I've seen Fowler do better and it's just disappointing with their care and quality. **Updated 5/10/2018** Micrometer failed internally. I don't know what happened and I can't return the tool because the mechanic who had it out of service decided to take it apart and fix it himself. We suspect that parts of the rotor may have become stuck between the inner brass bushing and the shaft. The device could not be repaired to make it operational again.
