If the effing electrodes weren't encased in fusible plastic this would be a great lighter. I really wanted this to replace the hemp wick which sometimes has too much auxiliary oil in it. It was great for a few days, now it's completely useless unless I want to breathe in melted plastic. The problem is that no matter how careful you seem to be, eventually some parts of the bowl will stick to the lighter. I've tried not to get the lighter too close, but you end up REALLY getting stuck in the lighter because the actual rays of light barely protrude (at a very short distance) from the plastic pins that the metal electrical parts protrude from. Even if you try to shake off the beats, it's just a losing battle. And you can't really look around to make sure you've put everything away, say, when you're in the dark or not under a table lamp. A slippery slope for smoking plastic. boo In less than a week I have a lighter that now smokes and smells like melted plastic. Due to the fact that the teeth began to melt, there is no recovery now. All I get is toxic plastic smoke. Seems like TERRIBLE stuff to use around here. Anyway, it's completely useless at the moment, except maybe as a backup fire source when no other method is available. I can't believe there aren't any more reviews with this exact problem. I suspect paid reviews and requests to update paid reviews.
