With many activities having been suspended due to Covid-19 I decided to try the 4x4 cube. This turned out to be an interesting task as it required some new strategies and algorithms. I'm not a speedcuber. My solution time for 3x3 is 3 to 4 minutes. Now I do 4x4 in 15-20 minutes. So for me it's a more sustained challenge and not as predictable as 3x3. There are parity conditions that are not present in 3x3. If parity occurs, it must be resolved before the cube is resolved. So all in all, this can be a challenging challenge for those who might be a little bored with 3x3. This particular product appears to be quite durable and easy to use. Fans of speed may find fault with some aspects of it. It gets stuck if I'm not careful, but I don't try to set records.
