The magnet part works well and is the best way to go in my opinion, but the safety latch (pulling the suction cup) didn't work - at first I started to see play between the mount and the suction cup (where the tongue does not hold pressure on the suction cup) and then broke - no more than 3 months. I've tried another one from the same company with a different mounting mechanism (Car Mount, WizGear Universal Magnetic Car Mount, Windshield Mount and Cell Phone Dashboard Mount with Fast Swift-Snap Technology) and it seems to hold up better.
