Apart from the above average price this size 8 circular needle doesn't differ much from many others on the market if like me you have arthritis in your hands which makes it very painful, to grasp the thicker part of the needle of a circular needle, which is usually made as short as possible so that the cable part can accommodate as many stitches as possible. After a long search I was very happy to find this brand with a longer part of the product than usual (still 16 inches in total). So I ordered it to see if it takes away the pain that makes knitting in the round almost impossible for me. And so it was! Because I had a longer "thick part" of the needle to hold on to, I was able to knit with this circular needle for an hour or more without discomfort.
