This is my fourth air purifier. I was shocked when it worked. I have COPD so air quality is important to me. My son usually smokes outside but I let him smoke inside to test this filter. I was shocked at how well this air purifier works. When people stopped that evening, they didn't smell anything. My wife loves it because she hasn't had to dust it since we got it. I don't recommend using an air freshener while it's running as it will remove all air odors, good or bad. The backlit display is great and can be turned off if it bothers you at night. The 3-speed fan can be set to manual or automatic. In the automatic setting, the fan runs at low speed until the air quality decreases. This feature is great. The remotes on mine don't work well, but they're not really needed. I love this unit.
