I'm making a media cabinet. I know some things generate more heat so I needed a way to dissipate the heat. I first got my hands on an Axial 1225 fan. I plugged it in and found that by myself when I mounted it in a wooden cabinet I built and then placed it against the wall, I could hear a slight hum from a slight vibration running at full speed. So I took this controller. It fits perfectly. There is enough wire on both ends (about 3 feet on either side of the controller). I was able to plug it in, run the cable behind my box and back in. Now the closet is still and will be perfect.
