Update: No problems after a year of sporadic use. Would buy again. Overall, the construction, materials and cost are very good. What's great is that it can work at an angle of up to 30 degrees. Three disappointments: 1) The compressor is a bit noisy - not loud, but louder than the more expensive Norcold and Dometic units which use a Danfoss compressor. It has 2 speeds, High and Low/Economy. It's not variable speed like Danfoss, so it's not as efficient. However, I almost always leave it on low, no problem. 2) Battery protection level selection is too low - only one is above 11V. One is below 10V. 3) Battery protection is primitive - there is no lag. When it is connected to the car and turned on, and the car starts, the voltage drops for a short time, the device generates errors. It restarts after about 30 seconds, but it took me a while to figure it out. Still not ideal. But for the price I'm very satisfied. The manual does not cover all functions.
