Great product! For a quick offline clone, simply insert your old drive into the SOURCE slot and a new drive [with the same or more memory] into the Target slot by flipping the POWER toggle switch on the back of the WAVLINK to OFF. [Note. There is no need to partition or format the target drive and connect WAVLINK to your computer.] Plug the WAVLINK power adapter into a power outlet and the other end into WAVLINK. Set the WAVLINK Power toggle switch to the on position and wait for the two blue source and target LEDs on the front panel to turn blue. Press and hold the round WAVLINK button on the front panel until both blue lights flash. Release the front button and while the blue lights are still flashing, quickly press the front button to start the cloning process. You should see a flash of blue light at 25% indicating cloning is in progress. This will continue in the remaining percentage ranges and the blue lights will flash as the cloning progresses through the 50%, 75% and finally 100% ranges. Cloning is not complete until all BLUE percent LEDs stop blinking. The time required varies by drive size and type, but for comparison, copying from a 1TB mechanical laptop drive to a 1TB Micron SSD took 3 hours and 15 minutes. Before ejecting disks after cloning, set the WAVLINK toggle switch to the off position. Insert the cloned target drive into your computer and you are done.
