Review on πŸ“· Enhance Stability & Expand Functionality: SMALLRIG L-Shape Bracket Wooden Grip with Cold Shoe for Sony ZV1 Digital Camera - 2936 by Christopher Scales

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works but is a bit unwieldy

This L-shaped wooden handle mount from SmallRig for the Sony ZV-1 solves a couple of critical camera problems - basically everything you can do natively Don't open the battery compartment , when mounted on a tripod, as the compartment is too close and the base plate does not allow opening. This is a serious problem when you use the camera as a webcam like I do most of the time. This SmallRig mount allows me to add a tripod mount to the bottom and still have the battery compartment open with the power adapter connected. I can easily use it as a webcam for two-hour meetings. I've tried taking the camera on vacation to use as a point-and-shoot for family photos and videos, but the SmallRig grip makes it too big to carry in my pocket. It's a shame, because I don't often like to carry a backpack or bag around with me. I'm currently looking for a carriage that isn't that bulky. I love the extra grip and the wooden handle feels very sharp. If that's what you're looking for, this SmallRig mount looks premium and is very well made.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Game changer for sure when it comes to grip and feeling comfortable with your camera in hand
