This year we started keeping a nature journal at home and it has been so much fun using this little house! Lizards, frogs, bugs, no butterflies (we thought he was too small and didn't want them to feel trapped) and no ants because Florida's red ants are the devil. But this "cabin" gave us the opportunity to add more detail to our drawings and paintings instead of just using our memory. It was a learning curve for us to pull this cover up quickly, but it's worth the squeaks and laughs. Even if our catch slips before we can catch it ;) Such a great tool for curious little ones!
