Terrific! But not at the class level.

My daughter is almost out of the first grade and is behind in math. She knows almost all of Book I and most of Book II, and she just started reading the books today. I'm guessing her grade was around halfway through the fall of first grade at that level. For my daughter it is SUPER. The talking pen gives her confidence and has a hugely important added value in distracting me from practicing so it doesn't become a struggle. Also, she doesn't try to use random answers because she doesn't want to hear (very mild) negative feedback. I have to stay close so she doesn't miss the subtraction. The button rotates through a series of positive and negative responses to reduce boredom and glows red or green. I also have an Ace (Doggy) pen to switch between when she gets tired of that.
